Race Report Luton
10K 25th July 2010 :
The GOOD NEWS - I would say after umpteen years of running this race
as horrible 3 lap event they have finally made it fantastic with a new very
scenic route taking in Luton Hoo house and grounds and the new Lee valley walk
cycle path. (Although they still have to Tarmac one bit of the cycle path).
Mostly car free (~1 km on a public side road) - no congestion - running mostly
in beautiful countryside - and you don't see any of Luton......
The BAD NEWS - the course UnDuLaTeS - so it's a real tester - there is one
monster of a hill.... but you run down it. Think you get the illusion that your
running uphill all the time (the Finish is only about 2ft higher than the Start
!!). Anyway Iva said she really enjoyed it and there were a number of Harriers
with PB' s - which is amazing - that Harriers getting PB's not Iva enjoying
herself.
