The table below gives the final positions in the 2002 Road Race Championship. Nick Berrill was the overall winner of the championship with 810.1 points followed by Nicky Klabe with 794.0 points.  Following his run in the Buntingford 10 on the 29th December when he scored 77.05% points, Martin Leach moved into 2nd place in the men's' championship with 781.4 points followed by  Graham King 12 points behind in 3rd place with 769.3 points. In 2nd place in the ladies championship was Teresa Munns with 738.3 points. In 3rd place in the ladies championship was Veronica Singleton with 725.3 points.

Rules for the Road Race Championships

A maximum of 10 Age-graded scores per runner will be calculated from official race times.

This will Include:

bullet

At least 4 events at 10 miles & over including at least one race at half marathon or over.

bullet

At least 4 events at under 10 miles including at least one race at 6 miles or over.

bullet

No more than 3 events at any one distance.

bullet

Club vests must be worn for all qualifying races.

NB: Times achieved in the Harriers own races are not eligible for inclusion. Times achieved in multi-terrain races such as the Colworth Marathon Challenge or event undertaken on non-officially measured course, are also ineligible.

The road race championship runs from 1st January to 31st December each year.
