Phil Gray's race report:

'a glorious and  sultry may evening welcomed one and all to the bedford 6, the third race in the east midlands grand prix series. runners began arriving from the region and beyond to address a demanding 6 miles that included the infamous cleat hill. i located at the wentworth drive roundabout to capture the action as a stream of runners, moving at a rate of knots, came flying past. lots of harriers in action and good to see richard piron and rob miller leading the harrier onslaught at this early stage. minutes ticking away as the race began to reach a happy conclusion. yet another incredible tale as that lady, yes suet lua, not content with doing the copenhagen marathon on sunday,  was strutting her stuff by doing the bedford 6 as well. well done suet and to richard piron who secured 1st harrier on the night, followed closely by rob miller and an unknown harrier face. these guys were well supported by the ladies in the guise of veronica, avril and co. veronica securing 1st harrier lady on the night. well done to all who went the distance on this balmy night  in the heart of putnoe. yours truly welcomed a cold drink in the guise of a nice cold coke. coca cola you fool. taking pictures and clapping is hard work, so they tell me'
