On 7/10/2012 I celebrated the receipt of some more WAVA percentage by running
the Great Cumbrian Half Marathon at Carlisle.
Suffering from poor motivation induced by a lack of training partners, a long
spell of cold wet weather and increasing anno domini I had no great
expectations. However, the event had a very pleasant friendly atmosphere, an
iconic castle start, running track finish, and lots of spectators around the
rural course. A nice event but not worth travelling a great distance to run.
The Harriers could show the Cumbrian Building Society plenty of ways to refine
their organisation and reduce their charges.
The web site is unusually poor and it took some effort to find my 1:30:58
