England had a good sporting day in France on Sunday. They (just) beat France
in Paris in the 6 Nations rugby and Bradley Wiggins became the first Brit to
win the Paris-Nice bike race since Tom Simpson in 1967. At the other end of
the spectrum, I had a good run in the International Half Marathon at Blagnac (http://www.semi-blagnac.com)
on a fast flat course in ideal, cool sunny conditions and did a MV65 Club Best
Time of 1:26:32 - 86th overall and first in the MV3 category.
I found it somewhat ironic to be awarded a book about French rugby as part of
my prize but look forward to some lively banter with my colleagues next week.
