Brigham is near the Cumbrian town of Cockermouth but well above the notorious flood plain.
The very enjoyable low-key "10Kilmers" (to quote the ARA certificate) event is organised by the community to raise funds for the local school. The low entry fees makes one wonder for what some other events are fundraising.
The organisers describe the course as "undulating" but that is probably influenced by their proximity to the Lake District fells. Consequently I hope I have left some room for improvement of this club best time on a flatter course .
Each finisher was presented with a medal which tasted delicious when subjected to an Olympic style bite.
