Standalone 10k

Race Report : For this 25th addition of Standalone 10k courtesy of NHRR the all time October temperture record for the UK was broken..... and needless to say we all melted in the glorious sunshine .... and that despite the 9:30 earlier start.
 
For those that have done this before it was the usual course but much improved with 90% of the roads now closed -  making for an enjoyable uncongested run with over 1000 finishers. It was also good to find another water station laid on at 8km.
 
The very nice technical top as the race memento is good as usual .....although in the heat, and being Black, did mean I ended up hotter than my Sunday Roast dinner by the time I got home.
