This was the first time id run this race, the morning was very cold and a
heavy frost lay on the pavements. After flying back from holiday late the
night before I was barely awake on the start line! After intentionally
slow beginning dodging people and slippery ground I did manage to pick up
the pace after around 5 miles. This isn't a terrible inspiring race, all
around urban estates and roads, not much to see - this made it a bit of a
slog (or was it the wine on holiday?) A respectable 1.24 and a medal in a
box, a mars bar and a orange drink at the end for my troubles. A cracking
second place for Adam Mills!
