This was the third and final qualification race for the World Duathlon
Championships to be held in France at the end of September. Both Gill and I had
already qualified (although I think I was given the nod from the Dambuster Duathlon
(5th place) because of 'potential'!) Now at least I can claim a leigitimate
place in the GB team. Gill goes from strength to strength, finishing second
overall. It was cold and windy, so much so that one rider (in my age group)
came a cropper from a gust of wind. Moral of story- dont use disc wheels in high
winds! - looks like broken ribs/collar bone and a spell in hospital.
