Cambridge Town & Gown 10km this week. 44th race of the year. Still a bit
chesty with my cold and struggled for breath from about 6km but managed to
complete it in 01:01:37 (Chip time). The race was to raise money and
awareness of Muscular Dystrophy. Nice medal and a T-shirt.
The race started in Midsummer Common and ran along a few quiet streets to
the river where we followed the river on a mixture of track and path,
dodging cow pats in places as cows were grazing on the common land,
running out to Fen Ditton. The route looped round / through Fen Ditton,
again on a mixture of road and track back to the river and back to
Midsummer Common. A very enjoyable route. A bit tight for space in parts
with 700+ runners, Sunday morning joggers and cyclists but one to consder
for next year.
