Morpeth Harriers' New Year's Day 11k

I had my sixth run in the
traditional New Year's Day Road Race at Morpeth but sadly the event is
now a shadow of its former self.I recorded that 1867 runners completed
the 14.1 miles down the A1 to Newcastle in 1986. Today, 143 completed
the 11km loop through undulating country lanes. However, it did not
rain so some things were better than usual! My time of 44:59 gave
me 44th place and 1st V60.
