Some good performances by the Harriers at Woburn. The first to finish and the 25th overall was Matt Burgin in 38:01. This was Matt's first 10k since Sharnbrook back in 2001 so it was probably a pb. Also getting a pb was the second Harrier to finish Adam Hills in 39:40. Adam's previous 10k best was 40:37 at Biddenham last October. Shantna Trowell was the first lady Harrier to finish and the second lady overall in 40:06. A good performance by Shantna who was running her first road race for the club. Also running well was the second lady Harrier to finish Andrea Ward in a new pb o f 46:19. Andrea was the 3rd LV40.
At least seven other Harriers got pb's. The list included Gabriel Arpaia whose 45:06 was a pb by three mins, Elaine Munday who knocked around 2 mins of her previous best to finish in 49:43, Leigh Price who improved her pb by around 3 mins to 55:52, Linda Wilding who finished in 56:48 a 30 secs improvement, Lyn Banks who ran 56:52 a pb by 4 mins, Jane Sizer who clipped a minute of her pb to finish in 57:45 and Maria McBeth whose 60:45 was also a new best.
If any other Harriers ran pb's and have not been mentioned, let's know.
